Herts Open Studios 2019 Launch Weekend (St Albans Museum)

We are delighted to be asked to return to the Museum for our Open Studios Launch Weekend

If you've signed up for Open Studios, you can apply to be part of our Launch Weekend, Open Studios Showcase at hst Albans Museum + Gallery.

Each artist must demonstrate their work, be prepared to engage with visitors, and can also sell their work (commission to the Museum). We are currently discussing options and potential for this weekend.

In addition, you will be expected to help discuss and plan how the event will be run, including hardware such as HVAF gridwall, tables, banners, etc before the event.

You must commit to helping both the set up first thing on 'your' morning and the evening shut down, over and above your own work. Please also be prepared to help the final take-down when all HVAF items must be promptly removed from the site.

There is no fee to take part, but you must agree to pay a commission to the even for any work sold.

Paid-up 2019 Open Studios artists are welcome to apply for a day when you are not involved in your own Open Studios. Please specify your date preferences so that we can select a mix of art forms for each day.

It is likely that we will have more artists than places, in which case we will manage a waiting list.
